Anita Eglite and Jukka Hakala visited Prague in Czech Republic December 12–14, 2017.
The plan was to participate Erasmus+ partner seminar in Prague but there were unexpected changes in the plan. Our flight to Prague on December 12 was canceled after we had been six hours inside the airplane. Some 60 flights from Helsinki-Vantaa were reported to have been cancelled during the same day. We managed to get flight to Prague the next morning and Finnair offered us dinner and overnight stay in Hotel Korpilampi.
We missed the Erasmus+ seminar but were able to attend the second part of our programme. This was a visit to the Higher Secondary School for Administration of the EU. This is a vocational school of business and administration.
We had a meeting with director Roman Liska and English teacher Vladimira Froldova. We felt very welcome and immediately got impression that our schools can do good cooperation in future years. We discussed about teacher visits and student exchange and invited them to visit Point College. Both schools have possibility to finance this cooperation with Erasmus+ projects. Also other ideas for European development projects were discussed.
All in all, the trip to Czech Republic was a success in spite of travelling difficulties…
